It's been a month now since we lost our Tucker, 11 yr old Min.Schnauzer, and we are still missing him. A dog is such a special part of a family as Boomer was to you. They are like a child but better in so many ways. I am envious of you raising the pups because you are constantly seeing the joy of their beginning in life and the welcoming of them to their new owners but I forget that you also feel the pain of watching them go after you have bonded and here was one that you didn't want to let go.
